Award-winning mental health speaker Victoria Maxwell reflects on the aftermath of a psychotic episode, letting go of shame, and the process of finding self-compassion.
Forgiving Yourself After Psychosis
Thank you Victoria for sharing this. I am comforted that you have been able to overcome great shame. The shame will always be there as I look back at certain behaviours. ( I have never had psychosis but have known great shame in the manic state) but through talk therapy and self compassion it has lessened over time. Thank goodness for that.
